A Crystal Palace player still dreams of moving to Barcelona, according to Spanish sources.
The Camp Nou, once a pinnacle of world football alongside Real Madrid, was home to legends like Ronaldinho and Lionel Messi who captivated fans globally. Although Barcelona has faced significant financial issues in recent years and is not the powerhouse it once was, Crystal Palace’s No.12, Daniel Munoz, remains hopeful of signing with the Spanish giants someday.
Daniel Munoz aspires to join Barcelona
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Colombia international still harbors dreams of playing for Barcelona. The Spanish outlet referenced quotes from Munoz in July 2020, where he stated: “I see this move (to Genk) as a great opportunity for growth. The Belgian league can help me develop further. I dream of playing in top leagues like the Premier League or La Liga, with my ultimate goal being to play for Barcelona. Genk has a history of selling players like Courtois, Benteke, and De Bruyne.”
While those remarks were made four years ago, Mundo Deportivo believes the South American is still aiming for a move to Barcelona, although they do not specify when he hopes to make the move.
Interestingly, apart from his Barcelona ambitions, Mundo Deportivo describes Munoz as the best-performing right-back at the Copa America right now, highlighting his impressive performances.
