BREAKING NEWS; Crystal Palace star reportedly set to follow Michael Olise out of the club amid ongoing £50m deal negotiations

Crystal Palace are facing a renewed challenge to retain Marc Guehi this summer, as European giants Real Madrid have reportedly set their sights on him as a transfer target. Few players in football history have resisted an offer from the Spanish side, and interest from Carlo Ancelotti suggests Guehi may attract suitors both domestically and internationally.

According to The Sun, Guehi is valued at £50 million, with two years remaining on his contract. Palace chairman Steve Parish is open to discussions if a bid near that amount is made. Should Guehi depart, he would follow in the footsteps of forward Michael Olise, who is nearing a £50 million move from South London to Munich.

LondonWorld reports that the only holdup in Olise’s transfer is the agent fee, with negotiations ongoing to reach an agreement.

Real Madrid are in search of a center-back after club icon Nacho, 34, left at the end of his contract to join Saudi side Al Qadsiah.

Despite this being his first major tournament, Guehi has arguably been England’s standout player at this summer’s Euros. He will miss Saturday’s game due to an accumulation of yellow cards, but his performance has been so impressive that England manager Gareth Southgate is reportedly considering a system change to compensate for his absence.

Guehi’s teammate Jude Bellingham is experiencing a career high after joining Madrid from Dortmund, where he contributed to winning La Liga and the Champions League.

Many English players aspire to play for Madrid, having grown up watching David Beckham alongside stars like Luis Figo and Ronaldo Nazario in the Spanish capital.

Although Palace ended last season on a positive note, losing both Olise and Guehi, two of their best players, in the same transfer window would be a significant blow.
