"He's a "Legendary Finisher" better than Harry Cane"- Tottenham staff used to think £6m player was a better finisher than Harry Kane

Tottenham have sold Troy Parrott to AZ Alkmaar.

The Irish international is departing Spurs in a deal worth €8m (£6m). It’s disappointing to see the striker leave, as he was once considered the brightest prospect in the Tottenham academy. Parrott was touted as having immense potential as a teenager, but unfortunately, he didn’t quite fulfill that promise during his time in north London.

On the Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast, Alasdair Gold reflected on Parrott’s tenure at Tottenham and shared some intriguing insights. According to Gold, Tottenham staff used to consider Parrott the best finisher at the club, even surpassing Harry Kane.

Gold recalled what Spurs staff used to say about Parrott: “I would have loved to have seen him come through at Spurs. There were people, when he was a youngster at the club, I had quite a few people tell me that he was maybe the best finisher at the club. That was over Harry Kane, that was during Harry Kane’s time. He was just so good at finding the corner again and again.”

Troy Parrott still has time to shine
Although Parrott didn’t make it at Tottenham, he could still become a standout in football. His finishing ability is exceptional, and he had an impressive loan spell in the Netherlands last season.

Parrott has the potential to become a star striker at a high level, and it wouldn’t be surprising if we see him again in the Premier League. Don’t be shocked if Parrott eventually realizes his great potential.
