Tottenham Hotspur has reportedly put a “fantastic” key player up for sale this summer as part of Ange Postecoglou’s ongoing squad overhaul. The club’s technical director Johan Lange and the recruitment team have already agreed to the departures of several senior players.
Reports indicate that Girona is in talks to sign out-of-favor winger Bryan Gil, while Richarlison has attracted interest from Saudi Arabia. Giovani Lo Celso’s future remains uncertain after limited opportunities under Postecoglou last season.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has joined Marseille on an initial loan that will become permanent for £17 million next summer. Other players already leaving include Ryan Sessegnon, Japhet Tanganga, Eric Dier, Ivan Perisic, Tanguy Ndombele, and Joe Rodon.
Surprisingly, Son Heung-min has also been linked with a potential exit, with Saudi club Al-Ahli showing interest. However, chairman Daniel Levy is unlikely to sell the 32-year-old, given his importance to Postecoglou.
Following these exits, Spurs have reinvested in new signings, including Archie Gray from Leeds United for £40 million, and extended Timo Werner’s loan deal. The club is also rumored to be seeking an attacking addition before the transfer deadline on August 30.
A recent report from Italy suggests that Tottenham could sell mainstay winger Dejan Kulusevski. The Swedish player, who started 31 Premier League games last season and contributed to 11 goals, is considered available for transfer despite his regular first-team status. Former Spurs manager Antonio Conte, now at Napoli, is reportedly interested in signing him.
Kulusevski, earning £110,000 per week, was initially signed on loan in January 2022, with the deal becoming permanent in summer 2023. It’s unclear if Spurs will demand a high transfer fee for the 24-year-old, who has four years remaining on his contract. Conte has previously praised Kulusevski, highlighting his physical strength, technical skills, and fearlessness on the pitch.
