"43 goals in 49 games Sensational Striker"- Tottenham join the race to sign €73,846 per week Arsenal target with 43 goals who was also ‘one of the best European signings’ last season

**Tottenham Enter Race to Sign Arsenal Target Viktor Gyokeres**

Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool have joined the race to sign Viktor Gyokeres, a target for Arsenal, according to Football Insider. The Swedish striker had an outstanding season with Sporting CP last year, catching the attention of several top clubs.

Chelsea are also reportedly interested in the 26-year-old, who moved to the Portuguese league from Coventry City. Gyokeres had a remarkable season, scoring 43 goals in 49 appearances across all competitions, making him one of the most exciting number nines in European football.

Portuguese head coach Roberto Martinez praised Gyokeres, saying, “For me, he was one of the best signings in the entire European market last summer.”

Gyokeres has a release clause of around £86 million in his contract, which could be a significant hurdle for most Premier League clubs, except perhaps Chelsea, known for their unpredictable spending.

The 26-year-old currently earns €73,846 per week in Portugal. While wages won’t be an issue for Premier League clubs, Sporting CP is unlikely to sell Gyokeres unless the release clause is met.

Arsenal is reportedly willing to offload fringe players to raise funds for Gyokeres. Tottenham, on the other hand, is still searching for a number nine, with Ivan Toney also being considered as a potential option.

While Gyokeres is a talented striker, his release clause may be considered too high for a player who has had only one standout season. It’s uncertain whether he can replicate his form, but Tottenham is expected to sign a striker this summer. It remains to be seen who will lead the line for Spurs next season.
