Leeds has already secured four new signings this summer, but Farke is keen to make further additions, particularly in central midfield. They recently made a £3.3 million offer for Ljubicic, which was rejected by Koln. Ljubicic, who has less than a year left on his contract and has indicated he will not sign a new one, is a key target for Leeds.

Athletic journalist Nancy Froston, speaking on the One Leeds Fan Channel, noted that Leeds has been monitoring Ljubicic for a while and that this is an opportune time to pursue him given his contract situation. Ljubicic, an Austrian international, is seen as a versatile midfielder with the potential to play a more defensive role if needed.

Leeds is expected to make a new bid, possibly between £4.2m-£5.1m, for Ljubicic by the end of the weekend. With the club’s recruitment team currently in Germany, this timeframe seems feasible as they aim to finalize the transfer before returning to England.
