Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the former CEO of Everton, who served from 2004 to 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs, discussed Richarlison’s situation at Tottenham Hotspur. The 27-year-old forward “hasn’t settled with Spurs,” according to the former executive.

Richarlison has been linked with a potential move to the Saudi Pro League, with Al-Ahli reportedly interested in him, according to Al-Riyadiyah on July 22. Football Insider reported in May that Tottenham is looking to recoup the transfer fee they paid for the Brazilian star if they decide to sell him this summer.

The forward joined Tottenham from Everton in 2022 for a reported £60 million but has yet to secure a regular starting position for the team. Despite scoring 12 goals and providing four assists in 31 games last season, his first campaign at the club was less impressive, with just three goals.

Speaking on the podcast, the former Everton CEO said, “I think that sum of money is too good to turn down. I don’t know if that will be the actual bid; it could be very structured. But at £60m, I would be selling him all day. He hasn’t settled with Spurs. He’s Brazil’s number nine, and I think he would do well in the Saudi market. If the structure is right on this deal, I think he should be going from Tottenham this summer.”

In other news, Tottenham is reportedly making a new move for Jacob Ramsey after an initial approach.
