Tottenham Hotspur are in advanced talks to sign Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze as they aim to build on last season’s progress. Although Spurs started the summer transfer window strongly with three new signings, they have struggled to secure marquee players recently.
Ange Postecoglou has assured fans that the club is actively working behind the scenes, and Eze is a key target for the Lilywhites. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the club has already begun discussions with the former QPR midfielder’s agents.
Tottenham aims to beat rivals in the race for Eze
Eze has become a top target for Spurs due to his standout performances last season. Tottenham is eager to finalize the deal ahead of several Premier League rivals, including Manchester City and Arsenal, who are also interested in the £60 million-rated midfielder.
Romano reports that “all the big clubs” are keeping an eye on Eze, with Manchester City having considered him last summer and Tottenham maintaining contact with his agents since February. Despite their interest in the £100,000-a-week player, Tottenham has yet to make an official bid.
Daniel Levy and his team will need to act quickly to secure Eze’s signature and avoid a bidding war with other top clubs.
