Serie A has recently become a popular destination for English players, but Tammy Abraham’s stint with Roma may be ending this summer.

As Newcastle United and West Ham United show interest in Tomori, Abraham might also leave Italy this summer.
Returning to action in April, Abraham scored once in 12 appearances before the season ended. Reports from HITC in May suggested that Abraham is open to a Premier League return, with West Ham United, Newcastle United, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, and Leicester City interested.
With Roma nearing a deal for Girona striker Artem Dovbyk, Abraham’s departure seems likely. Roma manager Daniele De Rossi acknowledged Abraham’s value and market potential, especially as he recovers from a significant injury. De Rossi mentioned that some players seek more playing time and might need to move on, implying that Abraham could be among them.

“Abraham is a strong, important player who could have a lot of market interest. I’ve seen him over the last six months, and he’s coming back from a significant injury. What we’ve seen isn’t the real Tammy, and we want to focus on strong players. I evaluate them in training and discuss opportunities with the director, considering the players’ demands for more space,” said De Rossi.

It’s been less than two years since Arsenal was linked with a £100 million move for Abraham, a stark contrast to his current situation. Arteta was reportedly “upset” when Arsenal failed to sign Abraham from Chelsea in 2021, indicating long-term interest from the Gunners. Despite a recent dip in form and a lengthy injury layoff, Premier League clubs still show interest. A return to England could be what Abraham needs to rejuvenate his career.
