**Tottenham Linked with Wolves Winger Pedro Neto**
Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano. This summer has been relatively quiet for Spurs, with the only significant signing being Archie Gray from Leeds United. The club has also seen departures, including Ivan Perisic, Tanguy Ndombele, and Ryan Sessegnon, who left on free transfers.
As Ange Postecoglou enters his second season at the helm, Tottenham aims to build on their fifth-place finish and secure a stronger position in the upcoming 2024/25 season.
**Neto a Target for Tottenham**
Pedro Neto remains a target for Spurs, with the 24-year-old winger under contract at Wolves until 2027. Despite facing injury issues, Neto’s performances have caught the attention of several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Tottenham.
Romano has stated that Tottenham highly appreciates Neto, though it is unclear if this interest will translate into a formal approach. Neto started his senior career in Portugal before moving to Lazio and then to Wolves in 2019.
Speaking on Tottenham’s interest, Romano said, “Pedro Neto remains a player really appreciated and very highly rated by Tottenham. He is one of the players they’ve always had on the list. Let’s see if they will decide to accelerate, but I expect Tottenham to be busy starting next week.”
**Spurs Handed Blow in Solanke Pursuit**
In other transfer news, Tottenham faces a setback in their pursuit of Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke. Bournemouth is reluctant to let Solanke go, and Spurs would need to trigger his release clause, reportedly around £65 million, to secure his signing. It is unlikely that Tottenham will offer a club-record fee for the striker.
Additionally, Liverpool would receive a portion of any profit Bournemouth makes from Solanke’s sale, complicating the transfer further.
