BAD NEWS; Leeds United fans are infuriated as concerns grow that more players could join Georginio Rutter in departing Elland Road before the transfer window closes.

Leeds United fans are growing increasingly concerned that more players may follow Georginio Rutter out of Elland Road before the transfer window closes. The Whites have had a frustrating start to the season, failing to secure a win in their first two games.

This frustration has been amplified by the expected departure of 22-year-old Rutter, who is likely to join Brighton, according to Florian Plettenberg. The Sun, on 17 August (page 13 of the pull-out), reported that supporters fear additional players could leave before the 30 August deadline. Daniel Farke’s refusal to rule out more high-profile exits has only intensified these concerns.

After their playoff final loss to Southampton, Leeds faced a challenging summer in terms of player departures. Key figures leaving the club seemed inevitable, and that has proven true.

Archie Gray and Crysencio Summerville have already left in transfers that, while financially beneficial, have frustrated fans. Farke has yet to replace these players, particularly the Dutchman, with no attacking signings made ahead of the third game of the season.

While links to Rangers winger Rabbi Matondo have surfaced, fans are not convinced he is a suitable replacement for the Championship Player of the Season. Losing Rutter, along with Gray and Summerville, could severely impact Leeds’ season and their promotion hopes. The Frenchman had appeared poised to be the team’s talisman this campaign, but now looks set to move to Brighton.

In other Leeds United news, it is suggested that Patrick Bamford should be sold before the transfer deadline following his recent performances.
