However, they failed to capitalize on their opportunities, allowing Jamie Vardy to equalize with a header just before the hour mark. Although Ange Postecoglou was pleased with Dominic Solanke’s debut, he admitted that the player could have been more clinical.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Simon Jordan pointed out Brennan Johnson, Dejan Kulusevski, and Timo Werner, suggesting they have been underperforming.
“There are a few Spurs players who I don’t think are making a significant impact,” Jordan remarked. “I don’t think Brennan Johnson is making an impact, nor is Kulusevski, and these are concerns for me regarding Tottenham’s squad depth, especially with Timo Werner in the mix—can this team really compete?”
Johnson has yet to justify his £47.5m price tag and might benefit from some time out of the starting lineup, especially with the recent signing of Wilson Odobert. Kulusevski also needs to improve his output this season, while Timo Werner continues to struggle with his finishing.

Neville, who initially predicted Tottenham to finish in the top four, reconsidered after seeing the substitutions during the match against Leicester.
“You know why I changed my mind? I wasn’t sure earlier today,” the Sky Sports pundit explained. “Tottenham, I hope they finish fourth—they play great football. But when I saw the subs come on tonight, I thought their squad depth might be an issue in achieving that.”
