Crystal Palace striker Jordan Ayew is currently undergoing a medical examination with Leicester City.
The Foxes have been pursuing Ayew throughout the summer, and the two clubs have finally agreed on an £8 million deal, which includes £3 million in add-ons, after an earlier bid was rejected.
Leicester is expected to announce the signing soon, as they aim to register Ayew in time for his potential debut against Fulham on Saturday.
The 32-year-old is in the final year of his contract with Palace, and the club is willing to let him go.
In recent seasons, Ayew has primarily played in wide positions within Palace’s 4-2-3-1 formation. However, his playing time decreased when new manager Oliver Glasner switched to a more narrow 3-4-2-1 system towards the end of last season.
Ayew contributed four goals and seven assists in the Premier League last season. The versatile forward has scored 23 goals in 211 appearances during his time at Palace. He signed a contract extension last November, keeping him at the club until June 2025.
