"I never wish for such but I've no other Choice"- What Kieran Trippier has previously said about transfer rumors involving Newcastle United, as Everton shows interest

Kieran Trippier may be looking to depart from Newcastle United this summer, just months after the club turned down offers from Bayern Munich for the defender.

Reports suggest that Trippier’s time at Newcastle could be coming to an end, despite his significant contributions since joining the club in January 2022 as their first signing after the club’s takeover the previous October.

Upon arrival, Trippier quickly became a key player under Eddie Howe, helping secure a Champions League spot during his first full season. However, a dip in form and injury setbacks affected his performance last season. With Tino Livramento gaining experience, Trippier’s position as a regular starter might be in jeopardy.

The England international has been the subject of transfer rumors since January, when Bayern Munich expressed interest with a £12.8 million bid. After Newcastle rejected the offer, Trippier reaffirmed his commitment to the club, stating, “I’ve always been committed to the club. They’ve done a lot for me, and I want to give back. I’m happy here.”

However, on Thursday, David Ornstein reported that Trippier now wants to leave Newcastle, with Everton showing interest in a potential loan deal for the 33-year-old. The Toffees are managed by Sean Dyche, who previously worked with Trippier during their time at Burnley.
