Could be a surprise"- Fabrizio Romano shares exciting update on 64-goal attacker linked with Tottenham

Tottenham are reportedly contemplating a last-minute bid for Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman as the summer transfer window nears its close.

Interest in the French winger has emerged from several Premier League clubs, including Spurs and Arsenal, adding to the excitement. While Barcelona are also keeping an eye on Coman, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has suggested that a move to England is a strong possibility before the deadline.

On his YouTube channel, Romano commented:

“Kingsley Coman is a player to watch in the final hours of the transfer window. There’s continued strong interest from Premier League clubs and Barcelona, who are considering both Coman and Federico Chiesa.”

He added that Coman could still be on the move, with potential surprises in store. However, a transfer would come with challenges due to Coman’s high wage demands and injury history. Last season, he missed 21 games due to injuries but managed five goals and three assists in 27 appearances. Overall, Coman has an impressive record at Bayern Munich with 64 goals and 66 assists in 296 appearances (Transfermarkt).

For Tottenham, adding Coman could be a major boost to their attacking options under Ange Postecoglou. However, their recent acquisition of promising winger Wilson Odobert from Burnley might complicate the situation. With considerable depth on the wings, Spurs may be cautious about adding another winger unless Coman is seen as a game-changer.

As the transfer window nears its end, Tottenham fans will be watching closely to see if the club makes a decisive move for Coman, which could provide a significant boost for the season ahead.
