Spurs handed significant injury boost ahead of North London Derby

Micky van de Ven is optimistic about being fit in time for the North London Derby.

The Dutch defender missed Spurs’ Premier League match against Newcastle United on Sunday due to a quad injury. He was replaced by Radu Dragusin, who partnered with Cristian Romero in the 2-1 loss at St. James’ Park.

However, Spurs have given Van de Ven a positive injury update. Manager Ange Postecoglou has downplayed the severity of the injury, and according to BBC Sport, he expects Van de Ven to be available for the North London Derby against Arsenal on September 15.

Although Van de Ven will miss the Netherlands’ upcoming Nations League games against Bosnia and Germany, he remains confident about his return for the Arsenal match. If fit, he is expected to reclaim his spot in the defense, potentially replacing Dragusin.
