He remarked that last season’s top teams were exceptionally strong, with a level of competition he had not seen before. This season, he feels there is a greater opportunity for clubs like Sunderland to excel.
Goodman acknowledged the impact of losing Clarke but pointed out that Romaine Mundle has stepped up impressively in Clarke’s absence. He remains hopeful about Sunderland’s prospects, though he recognizes that tougher challenges lie ahead.
