Kevin De Bruyne, a superstar at Manchester City, is clearly impressed by Leeds United’s latest signing, Manor Solomon. De Bruyne, who faced Solomon when Manchester City played Shakhtar Donetsk in the 2019/20 Champions League, believes Leeds may have secured a significant asset in the final days of the summer transfer window.

De Bruyne’s admiration comes after Solomon, a Tottenham Hotspur loanee, made a strong debut for Leeds in their 2-0 victory over Hull City, showcasing the form he had struggled to find due to injury last season. De Bruyne praised Solomon’s skills, noting, “I know Manor Solomon from his time at Fulham, Tottenham, and now Leeds. He has the qualities to play at this level. He is an excellent player.”

De Bruyne, who is set to earn his 106th cap for Belgium in their Nations League opener against Israel, also highlighted other Israeli talents, including Oscar Gloukh, who has recently impressed at Salzburg. Belgium coach Domenico Tedesco echoed De Bruyne’s assessment, pointing out the potential of players like Solomon and Gloukh to pose challenges for their opponents.

Solomon, previously a target for clubs like Aston Villa and West Ham, made an immediate impact with Leeds, demonstrating qualities that could potentially surpass those of Georginio Rutter or Crysencio Summerville. Former Leeds coach Neil Redfearn remarked on Solomon’s standout performance, stating, “I thought Solomon was the man of the match. He has a quality that seems superior to this level. He was unplayable at times and has the ability to excel in tight spaces.”

Leeds supporters can look forward to seeing how Solomon, along with new signing Largie Ramazani, will influence the team and potentially elevate their performance this season.
