West Ham strikers Michail Antonio and Danny Ings may leave the club before their contracts expire, according to sources cited by Football Insider.
On the latest Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke suggested that West Ham might seek a new striker as early as January. Both Antonio and Ings are set to be out of contract at the end of this season and will become free agents next summer unless they sign new deals.
West Ham could consider offloading one or both players before that time to create space in the squad and reduce the wage bill. This move would also provide an opportunity to address concerns about the team’s long-term striking options.
Antonio, who has been with West Ham since 2015, has made 311 appearances, scored 82 goals, and provided 40 assists. Despite being a key player this season, starting every game so far, the 34-year-old may be on the move.
In contrast, Danny Ings has had limited impact this season, playing only five minutes and not featuring in West Ham’s latest match against Man City. Since joining the club in 2023, Ings has scored just four goals in 53 appearances.
Improving the attacking options is a top priority for the club, with manager Julen Lopetegui looking to strengthen this area.
