BREAKING: Fabrizio Romano Reports West Ham United’s Board Decision on Julen Lopetegui’s Future Following Disastrous Carabao Cup Loss to Liverpool.

West Ham United’s board has directed Julen Lopetegui to implement immediate changes as rumors of a potential sacking circulate, according to Fabrizio Romano.

In his Daily Briefing on September 26, Romano noted that the club’s leadership is eager to see improved results following a significant summer overhaul of both the playing and coaching staff.

Currently sitting 14th in the Premier League with only one win in five matches, West Ham recently suffered a heavy 5-1 defeat to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup.

Romano commented, “While some reports suggest Lopetegui has three games to save his job, I haven’t confirmed that. The West Ham hierarchy is definitely looking for a change in results, and Lopetegui is aware of this.”

He acknowledged the poor start to the season but emphasized that the club recognizes the challenges posed by the influx of new players and staff, which may take time to settle.

How long will Julen Lopetegui remain at West Ham? It would be unwise for the board to dismiss him too quickly, especially considering the extensive changes, including his appointment as head coach following David Moyes’ long tenure. With Tim Steidten leading recruitment, Lopetegui was given a revamped squad.

Having only played five league games, Lopetegui is still determining his best lineup and has faced criticism from fans regarding his choices, particularly with several new signings not receiving ample playing time despite significant investments.

A reshuffle may be on the horizon ahead of the upcoming match against Brentford, especially after the team conceded eight goals in the last five days.

While replacing an experienced coach at this stage would yield little benefit, the club will certainly monitor progress in the coming weeks.

In related news, one player received a disappointing 2/10 rating for their performance against Liverpool.
