“If i was Eddie Howe, i would…..”- Gary Neville Drops Bombshell Advice to Eddie Howe will he follow his advice???

Gary Neville has shared his thoughts on whether Eddie Howe should leave Newcastle United to take on the England manager position. The FA is considering candidates to succeed Gareth Southgate, and Howe’s name has surfaced, given his impressive track record at Newcastle and his English nationality.

However, there are challenges at St James’ Park, particularly tensions between Howe and Paul Mitchell. Despite reports of recent productive talks, the situation remains complex.

On the latest episode of the “Stick To Football” podcast, Neville, along with other pundits, discussed Howe’s potential move. He suggested that if Howe’s relationship with Mitchell deteriorates, he should seriously consider the England job. Neville believes that accepting the role would be a wise decision for Howe, given his successful Premier League career and the opportunity to work with top players.

Neville stated, “If I were Eddie Howe, I would prioritize my own career. You’ve done a remarkable job at Newcastle, and England presents a chance for further advancement.” He noted that securing top club positions like Chelsea or Manchester United can be challenging, making the England role a viable next step.

However, there’s a counterpoint to Neville’s perspective. While he views the England job as a natural progression, it may undermine Howe’s current role at Newcastle, suggesting he has reached his potential there. In reality, Howe is deeply invested in Newcastle’s growth and the ambitions of their owners. Currently, he has not been offered the England position, and it remains uncertain who the FA will ultimately choose, with some speculation about promoting Lee Carsley. Reports also indicate that Howe is not eager to leave Newcastle for the national team role at this time.
