“HERE WE GO” – Fabrizio Romano Drops Major Update Amid Everton’s Interest in Chelsea Legend Maurizio Sarri! Is the 65-Year-Old Manager Poised for a Premier League Return?

Everton is reportedly considering a move for 65-year-old Italian manager Maurizio Sarri, known for his previous stint at Chelsea in the Premier League. With the club contemplating parting ways with Sean Dyche following a poor start to the 2024/25 season, Sarri’s name has surfaced as a potential replacement.

However, Caught Offside has relayed insights from Fabrizio Romano, indicating that a move for Sarri is unlikely. Romano stated, “Despite being out of work for 18 months, Maurizio Sarri is still an exceptional manager. He keeps himself updated and active. As for Everton, I have no confirmation of this link—no approaches or discussions have taken place.”

Romano has downplayed the speculation regarding a potential switch to Goodison Park. If Everton decides to dismiss Dyche, it will be crucial for them to find a quality replacement.

Dyche has struggled to get results this season, with Everton yet to secure a Premier League win. After battling relegation in the last two seasons, it seems they are in for another fight for survival.

Sarri would be a valuable addition, given his successful tenure at Chelsea, where he led the team to a UEFA Europa League victory and showcased an exciting brand of attacking football. Appointing a proven winner like Sarri could rejuvenate Everton.

However, taking on this role may be a step down for Sarri, who likely seeks a position where he can compete for major trophies. It remains uncertain whether Everton can persuade him to take the job. With several managerial names linked to the club, it will be interesting to see who they ultimately choose.
