“What a regret for Spurs”—the player Tottenham sold has finally rediscovered his form, scoring an impressive five goals in five matches since returning to the Spanish club.

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovani Lo Celso has made a successful comeback to Real Betis, netting an impressive five goals in five matches since rejoining the Spanish club.

Lo Celso completed his permanent move back to Betis in August for a reduced fee of €4 million and quickly made his mark in La Liga. He started his second stint at the club with a standout performance, scoring twice in a 2-1 win against Getafe, including one penalty and a deflected goal.

Since then, he has added three more goals to his tally, showcasing a remarkable resurgence. This turnaround is particularly significant given his challenging final season at Tottenham, where he played 24 matches but only logged 600 minutes and managed just two goals and two assists.

His limited playing time ultimately prompted his return to Betis, where he has rediscovered his confidence and attacking flair. This isn’t Lo Celso’s first successful period at the club; during a loan spell in the 2018-19 season, he scored 16 goals and provided six assists in 45 appearances.
