The incident was initially mentioned by Tony Gale during the West Ham vs. Brentford commentary, followed by a cryptic tweet from KUMB hinting at a disagreement at half-time. It seems they have moved past it.
West Ham’s only wins this season—a 2-0 victory against Crystal Palace in the Premier League and a 1-0 EFL Cup win over Bournemouth—occurred weeks ago. Since then, Lopetegui has watched his team drop points against Fulham and Brentford and suffer heavy losses to Chelsea, Liverpool, and Man City.
Despite this rocky start, the club remains committed to supporting Lopetegui. Reports suggest that West Ham is eyeing a move for Omar Marmoush, the Eintracht Frankfurt striker, among other targets as technical director Tim Steidten aims to bolster the squad. However, Estadio Deportivo has taken a dig at Rodriguez for choosing West Ham over Betis, suggesting he made a mistake by refusing to sign a new deal with his former club. They argue that he has experienced a decline in form since his move to the London Stadium, citing his exclusion from the Argentine national team as “one of the worst pieces of news” and a “moral blow” for him, given his status as one of the top defensive midfielders while at Betis.
