“It’s unfortunate that Jamal isn’t available; we all recognize his talent. However, he’s a young player, and we felt it was best for him to rest and return at full fitness. When asked if his style of play was too “risky,” Kompany replied that he doesn’t want to be confined to a single philosophy.
“I rarely use the term ‘play style.’ For me, our approach is pragmatic—it’s not about style. When you lose, you need to bounce back and aim to win the next game. That’s our focus for tomorrow. I also remember our achievements in past games,” he explained.
