Tottenham Hotspur made a strong return to Premier League action after the international break, overcoming West Ham United in a 4-1 victory during Saturday’s early match.
It wasn’t an easy start, as Mohammed Kudus put the Hammers ahead in the 16th minute. However, Spurs’ in-form Dejan Kulusevski equalized before halftime. In the second half, Yves Bissouma scored, opening the floodgates for a struggling West Ham side. A deflected shot from Jean-Clair Todibo made it 3-1, and Son Heung-min completed the scoring shortly after the hour mark.
After the match, Spurs legend Sandro took to Instagram to praise Kulusevski, calling him “on fire” and sharing a photo with the player. He also congratulated the entire Spurs team, ending with “COYS.”
Regarding Kulusevski’s performance, Football.london rated him 9 out of 10, highlighting his excellent play and his goal that came from a low shot hitting both posts. They noted his confidence and key contributions to Tottenham’s third goal alongside Son.
The Evening Standard gave him an 8 out of 10, calling him Tottenham’s best player of the day, and praised his ability to maneuver out of tight spaces.
Looking ahead, Spurs will face AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League on Thursday at 8 PM at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, followed by a Premier League match against Crystal Palace on Sunday at 2 PM.
