“Is a major Tottenham TAKEOVER in the works? Amanda Staveley’s secret Non-Disclosure AGREEMENTS revealed

Tottenham and Amanda Staveley may have non-disclosure agreements related to her bid for a minority stake in the club, according to The Athletic.

It has been three months since Bloomberg reported on July 18 that Staveley was considering investing in Spurs after her departure from Newcastle, where she raised £500 million in funding.

Speculation about Staveley’s potential involvement with Tottenham intensified after she was seen at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium during the NFL game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Chicago Bears on October 13.

While fans and analysts have speculated about a possible takeover, there has been no concrete update, with both Tottenham and Staveley remaining tight-lipped.

The Athletic reports that sources suggest the existence of non-disclosure agreements, though there is some skepticism about Staveley’s level of interest.

The idea of non-disclosure agreements makes sense given Staveley’s background. She facilitated the Saudi-backed takeover of Newcastle in 2021, which attracted significant media scrutiny due to concerns over Saudi Arabia’s human rights record. This followed her earlier attempt to purchase the club in 2017, which also garnered considerable attention.

Tottenham would likely support the use of non-disclosure agreements, especially considering the club’s emphasis on maintaining stability since ENIC’s takeover in 2000. Daniel Levy, the Premier League’s longest-serving chairman, is known for his discreet management style.

While Spurs are actively seeking investment, as Levy mentioned in April, previous discussions have often led to nothing. Therefore, it may be prudent for both Tottenham and Staveley to keep negotiations confidential until an agreement is reached.

In other news, Tottenham is reportedly interested in a player from Real Madrid, following new developments from Spain.
