In a recent interview, Harry Kane was asked to name a young player to keep an eye on in the coming years, and he chose an English talent over Tottenham’s Mikey Moore.
Having observed numerous promising youngsters at Spurs, especially during his last years at the club, Kane noted that Moore had begun first-team training just as he departed. Now playing for Bayern Munich, Kane is well-acquainted with top young talents.
However, Kane opted for a player outside of Spurs and Bayern, highlighting Adam Wharton, a fellow England teammate. The 20-year-old has made a significant impact at Crystal Palace since joining earlier this year, and Kane has shown great admiration for his performances.
Interestingly, Tottenham had been reportedly impressed by Wharton’s form at Selhurst Park during the summer transfer window, considering a potential move. Although Oliver Glasner’s side managed to retain the Blackburn Rovers academy product, it remains to be seen if Spurs will revisit their interest in January, especially amid Palace’s challenges this season.
