According to Graeme Bailey, Everton has mapped out an “ideal scenario” for Sean Dyche for the remainder of the season. Speaking to Everton.News, the TBR Football journalist noted that the club is in no rush to dismiss Dyche, as relegation isn’t an immediate concern, particularly given the struggles of at least two other relegation-threatened teams.
Bailey stated, “They’ll likely keep him until January. While Dyche isn’t seen as a long-term solution, they’re content to let him guide the team until they’re ready to appoint a new manager, ideally next summer before the move to the new stadium.”
He emphasized that the club was never desperate to part ways with Dyche, despite a poor start to the season necessitating some due diligence on potential replacements. Currently, the focus is on stability, and they are satisfied with Dyche’s leadership as they work towards safety.
It appears that Everton plans to retain Dyche through the season, reassessing their options afterward. This approach makes sense, especially as the Friedkin Group will have had time to establish themselves and create a clear strategy for the transition to Bramley-Moore Dock.
