£40m star returns as Ange postecoglou make seven tactical changes. Predicted Tottenham XI vs Galatasaray

Tottenham Hotspur have had an eventful week, bouncing back from a surprising loss to Crystal Palace with two impressive victories over Manchester City and Aston Villa.

The north London side triumphed 2-1 over the reigning Premier League champions in the EFL Cup fourth round, securing their place in the quarter-finals.

Manager Ange Postecoglou recently reminded fans of his track record of winning trophies in his second season at previous clubs, and while it’s still too early to say if he can replicate that success in England, the victory over Manchester City has Spurs supporters dreaming of their first trophy since 2008.

Building on the confidence from that win, Tottenham made it two in a row with a thrilling 4-1 comeback against Aston Villa at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Despite falling behind to an early goal from Morgan Rogers, Spurs turned the game around in the second half with goals from Brennan Johnson and James Maddison, sandwiched between a brace from Dominic Solanke.

As Tottenham prepare for Thursday’s Europa League clash against Galatasaray, Postecoglou is expected to make several changes to his starting XI, as is often the case with his rotation policy.

However, he will be looking for more of the same high-level performance from his team, aiming to continue their perfect start in the Europa League.

It’s anticipated that Postecoglou will make up to seven changes from the team that defeated Villa, with Maddison returning to the starting lineup for the first time since the loss to Crystal Palace.

Guglielmo Vicario will start in goal, while a makeshift defense of Archie Gray, Radu Dragusin, and Ben Davies will play in front of him, with Destiny Udogie the only player to retain his spot.

Maddison is set to join Yves Bissouma and the promising Lucas Bergvall in midfield, while Timo Werner will replace Son Heung-min to partner Solanke and Johnson up front.

Predicted XI: (4-3-3): Vicario; Udogie, Davies, Dragusin, Gray; Maddison, Bissouma, Bergvall; Werner, Solanke, Johnson.
