Why Mathys Tel’s Snub Might Be a Blessing
In reality, this might not be a major blow for Forest. The club is already well-covered in wide positions, with players like Ramon Sosa and Jota Silva ready to step in if needed. Both have shown flashes of brilliance and could easily fill in for Anthony Elanga or Callum Hudson-Odoi should they be unavailable.
A loan deal for Tel would likely benefit Bayern Munich more than Forest, as the German club seems unwilling to sell him outright. It’s also puzzling that Tel is seeking a move to a “top club” on loan while struggling to secure regular first-team football at Bayern, one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Forest, with their rich history and current standing among the Premier League’s elite, might be considered a “top club” in its own right. Perhaps Tel should take a closer look at the Premier League table before ruling out a move to the City Ground.
In addition to Forest, other clubs reportedly interested in Tel include Premier League teams and German sides like Borussia Mönchengladbach, Werder Bremen, FC Augsburg, and VfB Stuttgart.
