Tottenham are reportedly keen on signing the “joy to watch” £84m-rated star.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly eyeing a move for Valencia’s talented midfielder Javi Guerra, according to TBR Football.

The 21-year-old, who has spent his entire career at Valencia, is also drawing interest from several Premier League heavyweights, including Liverpool and Arsenal. In addition, both Barcelona and Real Madrid have kept close tabs on the Spanish youngster.

Valencia, currently struggling in the 2024/25 La Liga season with just one win and sitting at the bottom of the league, could be forced to sell Guerra if they are unable to avoid relegation.

Tottenham Entering the Race for Guerra
Valencia may have to part with their promising midfielder. At 6-foot-2, Guerra has impressed with his performances, earning praise for his intelligence on the ball and his playmaking ability. He has made 61 senior appearances for Valencia, scoring five goals and providing one assist. Football Talent Scout’s Jacek Kulig compares Guerra to legendary midfielders like Xabi Alonso, who was known for his deep-lying playmaking skills at clubs such as Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich.

While Tottenham already boasts a strong midfield with players like Yves Bissouma, Pape Matar Sarr, and Rodrigo Bentancur, they lack significant depth. Guerra could be a perfect fit for Spurs, where manager Ange Postecoglou is known for nurturing young talent and providing them with opportunities to shine on the big stage.

Although Guerra’s release clause is set at £84 million, there is speculation that Valencia may be willing to let him go for as little as £25 million, making him an attractive prospect for several top clubs.
