Nicolas Kühn is enjoying his time at Celtic and has no plans to leave anytime soon, according to his agent, Christian Nerlinger. The 24-year-old has been linked with potential moves to Fulham and Brentford after impressing with Brendan Rodgers’ side this season.
Speaking to Record Sport, Nerlinger stated that Kühn has found a home at Celtic, and any future departure would be based on mutual agreement between the player and the club.
“We don’t concern ourselves with the speculation,” Nerlinger explained. “Nicolas has settled at Celtic, and we won’t leave unless it’s in the best interests of both him and the club. This success story is a result of Celtic’s vision.”
Reflecting on his time at Rangers, Nerlinger noted the challenges of securing profitable deals and highlighted Celtic’s ability to identify players like Kühn, purchase them for around £3 million, and potentially sell them for much higher fees. He emphasized that any future decisions will be made collaboratively with the club.
Kühn, who joined Celtic from Rapid Vienna in January, initially needed time to adjust but has been in excellent form this season, contributing 10 goals and 11 assists in all competitions, including a brace against RB Leipzig. The German attacker was signed for his creativity and potential as a young player with room to grow.
Kühn has even caught the eye of German national team coach Julian Nagelsmann, who recently mentioned him as a potential future call-up.
A national team selection would be a major milestone for Kühn and a testament to his impressive performances at Celtic. It would also reinforce the idea that Celtic is a club capable of attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.
