“He’s wasted at this club, absolutely wasted, he should be AXED immediately”- Adrian Durham SLAMS USELESS West Ham Ace after his reckless performance v Newcastle and told Lupetegui to Drop him as part of a wider strategy to improve the team and potentially salvage his own position at the club.
Adrian Durham has suggested that Jarrod Bowen should leave West Ham, arguing that he is being “absolutely wasted” under Julen Lopetegui’s management.
Durham made the comments following West Ham’s 2-0 win over Newcastle United at St James’ Park on Monday (25 November), where Tomas Soucek’s header gave the Hammers a lead at halftime.
Commentating for talkSPORT, Durham expressed his frustration with Bowen’s role in the team, stating that he was playing far too deep and urged the England international to consider moving on from the club.
Speaking on talkSPORT (25 November, 8:50 pm), Durham said, “Jarrod Bowen, you need to leave this club. He’s basically playing as an auxiliary fullback. He’s being wasted here, absolutely wasted. He was linked with Liverpool in the summer, and now he’s playing in a team like this.”
Bowen is undeniably a talented player, but his abilities are being underutilized in West Ham’s negative style of play under Lopetegui. Since the Spaniard took charge, the team has struggled to find an identity, with their gameplan often unclear and reliant on individual moments of brilliance rather than cohesive team efforts. This system doesn’t seem to suit Bowen, whose recent success with the England team during the November international break highlighted his potential that isn’t being fully tapped at West Ham.
With interest in Bowen expected in January, a move away from the club now makes sense for his career, despite the disappointment it would cause for West Ham.
