“It seems with this club”- Postecoglou BLUNT respond to Tottenham supporters will leave your speechless
Ange Postecoglou addressed the boos from Tottenham fans following Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Fulham.
Tottenham took the lead in the 54th minute, with Brennan Johnson scoring his sixth Premier League goal of the season. However, they were unable to hold on, with Tom Cairney equalizing just 13 minutes later. Despite Cairney’s red card in the 70th minute, Spurs couldn’t capitalize, and the match ended in a draw. The result left them in seventh place, three points behind the top four.
Once again, Tottenham fans expressed their frustration with boos at full-time, as they continue to see their team struggle with consistency. A 4-0 victory against Manchester City now feels like an outlier when followed by a home defeat to Ipswich and a draw against Fulham.
Postecoglou was asked about the fans’ reaction after the match. While he didn’t directly acknowledge the boos, he emphasized his focus on blocking out external noise and improving the team. “I didn’t hear that,” he said. “If that’s the case, I’m not talking about the supporters. I’ve already had questions about the Man City game and why we can’t repeat that performance. But as I’ve said before, we’ve faced some significant challenges in the last few days. It’s too simplistic to expect us to play like we did against Man City every match. It feels like whatever we do well is used against us at every opportunity.”
The manager continued, stressing the importance of staying focused on progress. “The players are working hard for this club, trying to move us forward. We’re still in a good position in the league, still in the Carabao Cup, and doing well in Europe. It’s about keeping our focus on continued development.”
Next, Tottenham will face Bournemouth in an away match on Thursday evening.
