While recent arrival Ruud van Nistelrooy has helped Leicester open up a five-point cushion over the relegation zone, tough fixtures lie ahead. There’s a real possibility the team could slip into the bottom three before the month ends.
In the meantime, Football Insider reports that Leicester is keen on bringing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall back from Chelsea next month. The midfielder left King Power Stadium in the summer to join Chelsea, where he now earns £80,000 a week, according to Capology.
Dewsbury-Hall enjoyed a strong season in the Championship last year, scoring 12 goals and providing 14 assists in 44 matches. This impressive tally would typically excite fans for his return. However, despite the recent links to the 26-year-old, Leicester supporters have made it clear on social media that they don’t want him back at this time.
One fan commented, “I’m not convinced KDH is a Premier League player. I know everyone loves him and loves a local lad, but our priority should be elsewhere—right-back, centre-back, right-wing, and possibly left-wing. We’re also only a Hermansen or Vardy injury away from finishing 19th.”
