“Troy Deeney Drops BOMBSHELL Alexander Isak claim that will leave you Shocked. Here’s what he’s standing by

Alexander Isak has returned to his best form after a slow start to the season with Newcastle United.

The 25-year-old struggled early on, with goals proving hard to come by for the club’s record signing. However, Isak’s fortunes have taken a turn for the better.

In the past nine games across all competitions, the Swedish striker has scored seven goals and provided three assists.

Isak has been on fire, continuing his impressive run during Newcastle’s 4-0 victory over Leicester City, where he contributed with both a goal and an assist. This performance was another indication that the Magpies are rediscovering their attacking rhythm.

Troy Deeney: Alexander Isak is the Premier League’s Best Striker
Isak’s recent performances earned him a spot in Troy Deeney’s BBC Sport team of the week, alongside Jacob Murphy.

The former Watford striker had high praise for Isak, even going so far as to call him the Premier League’s best striker at the moment.

“He’s the best striker in the Premier League right now,” Deeney stated. “Yes, I’ve said it, and yes, I stand by it. He’s the complete striker. Unreal. Every time I watch him, I wonder, how hasn’t Arsenal signed him?”

Deeney continued: “He’s a brilliant player and finisher. He’s a poacher, but also so silky. You don’t see many poachers who play with that kind of flair.”

Frustration Over Arsenal’s Interest in Isak
While Isak is playing out of his skin, there’s growing frustration among Newcastle fans over the ongoing speculation linking him with a move to Arsenal. Deeney’s comments about Isak possibly joining the Gunners reflect this ongoing narrative in the media.

The constant speculation is becoming tiresome for Newcastle supporters, especially with pundits repeatedly suggesting that Isak should join Mikel Arteta’s squad.

If Arsenal really want him, they will have to open their wallets. Isak is arguably Eddie Howe’s most valuable player, and it would likely take a fee in excess of £100 million to tempt Newcastle into selling—regardless of the pundits’ speculation.

Despite the frustration, Deeney’s praise of Isak is well-deserved. The striker’s versatility was evident with his poacher’s goal against Leicester, and his ability to score in various ways—whether tap-ins, headers, or screamers—cements his status as one of the best in the world when he’s in this kind of form.
