“Absolutely nowhere near the level”- Leicester City Conor Coady reacts to Wolve defeat with social media post
Conor Coady shared an honest message on social media after Leicester City’s 3-0 defeat to Wolves on Sunday.
Coady played the full 90 minutes in the Foxes’ disappointing loss, a result that leaves Leicester in a precarious position heading into the Christmas period.
The defender was involved in the opening goal, failing to react quickly enough to Goncalo Guedes, who managed to score past Danny Ward and give Wolves the lead.
It was a tough day for Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side, with two Leicester players even being booed by the fans.

Coady’s Honest Reaction to Leicester’s Defeat
As one of Leicester’s most experienced players, Coady is considered a leader in the dressing room.
His leadership had initially been reassuring in the early weeks of Van Nistelrooy’s tenure, but in the last two games, he has been part of a defense that has conceded seven goals.
Robert Huth also highlighted a concerning stat: Leicester has conceded 14 goals in their last five matches.
However, as a key figure in the squad, Coady took responsibility and acknowledged that the team’s performance has not been good enough.
In an Instagram post, he wrote: “Absolutely nowhere near the level this club demands. This league gives you nothing, and it’s our responsibility to dig deep and find a performance that reflects what it means to be a Leicester City player and meets expectations…”
“Every game presents challenges, but we need to be strong enough to face them… Only we, in Leicester blue, can change it.”
Leicester Needs to Address the Centre-Back Position in January
Despite significant investment, Leicester still struggles with consistency in the center-back position.
Wout Faes, Jannik Vestergaard, Coady, and Caleb Okoli have all shown inconsistency, failing to establish a regular starting spot.
The center-back position could be a priority for Leicester in January, with several potential bargains available.
Argentine defender Valentin Gomez has also been linked with a move to Leicester, and with the competitive nature of the January transfer market and limited funds, Van Nistelrooy’s team may need to get creative in their recruitment efforts.
