“Puddings”- Ethan Ampadu Sends Heartfelt Message to Leeds Fans After Huge Major Boost
Leeds United captain Ethan Ampadu has shared a Christmas message with the club’s fans following his return to action and praised a double boost for the team.
Ampadu was initially expected to be sidelined until the new year after sustaining knee ligament damage during September’s 3-0 win over Coventry City. However, the midfielder made a quicker-than-expected recovery.
After making brief appearances off the bench in matches against Middlesbrough and Preston North End earlier this month, Ampadu was given his first start since September in Saturday’s match against Oxford United, replacing the injured Pascal Struijk.
Moving to the defense to partner Joe Rodon, Ampadu played a key role in helping Leeds secure a 4-0 victory and another clean sheet, both of which the captain celebrated on social media.
With attention now turning to the Boxing Day clash at Stoke City, Ampadu took a moment to send his festive wishes to the fans. On Instagram, he wrote: “Plus three. Clean sheet. Hope you all have a great Christmas, enjoy all those Yorkshire puddings.”
