New Wolves manager Vitor Pereira was in high spirits following his team’s crucial victory against fellow Premier League strugglers Leicester City on Sunday.
Pereira’s reign got off to a perfect start with a 3-0 win at the King Power Stadium, a result that lifts Wolves and provides vital momentum as they head into the festive period. “It was fantastic because we cannot win alone,” Pereira said. “We need the supporters, the club, and everyone to be together. We must be committed and united to improve. I want to improve the team, particularly with possession.
I don’t like a team that only plays on the counterattack, but today it was good. I’m encouraged by the team and the supporters. They’ve been fantastic, and I know the effort they made to come here. Together, I think we can do something special.”
