Alan Shearer praises Nuno Espirito Santo’s impact
Espirito Santo has clearly benefited from having a full pre-season with his players, allowing him to build something solid at the City Ground. His initial arrival at the club midway through a season posed challenges, but his impact is now evident.
After Saturday’s 2-0 win over Brentford, Alan Shearer shared what has impressed him most about Forest’s head coach during the current campaign. Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, Shearer said: “For them to go there and do what they did, Nuno has his own style. They’re not concerned with the opposition having the ball, and in fact, they’re quite content with that, as you can see from the possession stats.”
He added, “Their recruitment has been excellent. They’ve got pace, they can attack quickly, they’re direct, and they know how to hit teams. That’s what they’re really good at.”
