Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min has been linked with a potential move away from White Hart Lane due to his contract situation. King Questions Tottenham’s Delay in Offering Son a New Deal
While Tottenham does have the option to extend Son’s contract for an additional year, the club has yet to make any official moves to trigger this extension. Bryan King, a former scout for Tottenham, expressed his surprise at the delay during an exclusive interview with Tottenham News. He said:
“This should have been sorted out months ago. It’s ridiculous. This is a quality player who has given so much to Tottenham. Since joining the club, he has been an exceptional servant.”
King also raised concerns about Son’s commitment, saying, “Looking at his recent performances, I question whether 100% of his heart is still at Tottenham. I’d feel aggrieved if I were him. How many years has he been at the club, and he’s been a star since day one?”
With multiple Saudi Pro League clubs reportedly interested in Son, this situation has become one that needs to be resolved quickly to avoid off-field distractions affecting his performances as the season progresses.
