9/10 match rating, 78 touches, 36 passes, 8 duels won, absolutely incredible “Good as Bergvall”- Skysport Pundit WOWED by Spurs’ “UNBELIEVABLE” 9/10 GEM who is now UNDROPPABLE alongside Lucas Bergvall

Tottenham Hotspur’s League Cup clash against Liverpool last night was a crucial one, and the players truly delivered. Despite struggles in the Premier League, Ange Postecoglou’s side now finds themselves just 90 minutes away from a final, holding a one-goal advantage to take to Anfield.

There were standout performances all over the pitch, from debutant AntonĂn Kinsky in goal, to Dejan Kulusevski’s strong presence in midfield, and Dominic Solanke’s continued threat up front. However, two players really stole the show, one of whom was the exceptional Lucas Bergvall.

Bergvall’s Performance Against Liverpool

Bergvall, the 18-year-old prodigy, started in midfield and was outstanding from start to finish. He covered a remarkable amount of ground, contributed creatively, and, most importantly, made the decisive run into the penalty area to score the winning goal in the 85th minute.

His performance earned him high praise, with football.london’s Alasdair Gold awarding him a 9/10 rating. Gold described Bergvall as “busy” throughout and highlighted his quick adaptation to first-team football. His statistics reflect his impressive display: in 98 minutes, he scored a goal, created two big chances, provided three key passes, took two shots on target, completed 44 touches, won one foul, made two interceptions, and completed three tackles.

It was a phenomenal performance, and Bergvall must be a key figure in Tottenham’s starting lineup for all important fixtures moving forward.

Spence’s Performance Against Liverpool

Alongside Bergvall, Djed Spence also caught the eye with a superb performance. Spence, making only his sixth start of the season, played with such consistency that it raised further questions about why he hasn’t been used more often. Described as “unbelievable” by Ian Wright, Spence was solid defensively, so much so that Mohamed Salah was almost invisible during the game, while also contributing effectively in attack.

Gold again awarded Spence a 9/10 rating, praising his “excellent display” and noting that he is now challenging for a permanent spot in the lineup. Spence’s statistics were equally impressive: in 98 minutes, he had 78 touches, completed 36 passes, won eight out of 12 duels, made one interception, two tackles, six clearances, and completed two dribbles.

While the tie is far from over, Tottenham’s performance last night was outstanding. With strong contributions across the field, Bergvall and Spence were particularly impressive and should be regular starters in all important matches moving forward.
