After the match, Isidor took to Instagram to address his penalty misses and apologize to Sunderland fans. He described the day as “the worst day of my life,” and expressed deep regret for his performance.

Regis Le Bris Defends Isidor and Hails Burnley’s Trafford
After the match, Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris defended Isidor, offering his support despite the missed penalties. Interestingly, Le Bris also praised Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford, who had engaged in time-wasting tactics during both penalties in an apparent attempt to unsettle Isidor, which seemed to have worked.
