EXCLUSIVE: Everton’s standout striker has been presented to a Serie A Champions League club, with the player reportedly keen to make the move
Everton striker Beto has been offered to Serie A heavyweights AC Milan, but a move to San Siro this January seems unlikely, according to Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness).
The Rossoneri are reportedly “not convinced” by the Guinea-Bissau forward, and while a transfer is not entirely ruled out, it remains improbable for now.
AC Milan are said to view Everton’s asking price for Beto as too high, a stance shared by Serie A rivals Torino, who have also shown interest in the 26-year-old in recent weeks.
Beto is believed to be open to leaving Goodison Park this month and has expressed a desire to move, with several Italian clubs reportedly keen on the former Udinese striker.
Beto ‘Offered’ to AC Milan Move Unlikely
Beto has been heavily linked with a return to Serie A during the January transfer window, with Como also said to be interested in the 26-year-old.
The ‘exceptional’ striker seems unlikely to have a future under new manager David Moyes at Everton, having played only seven minutes in the last two matches under the Scotsman.
Since joining Everton from Udinese in the summer of 2023, Beto has struggled to meet expectations, scoring just eight goals and providing two assists in 62 appearances across all competitions.
The Guinea-Bissau international has made just one Premier League start this season, netting only one goal in over 220 minutes of action.
Everton have yet to make any signings in January but are expected to be active before the transfer window closes on February 3.
The Toffees are reportedly targeting reinforcements for their attack and are among the Premier League clubs interested in former Chelsea and Arsenal winger Willian, who is currently a free agent.
According to MailOnline, at least four Premier League clubs are considering a move for the 36-year-old, who most recently played for Olympiacos this season.
