“I’m sorry, it’s unacceptable…” – Tottenham defender questioned after display vs Everton

Dragusin struggled during the match against Everton
The former Genoa centre-back’s positioning was called into question during Everton’s second goal, when Iliman Ndiaye capitalized on his poor awareness and defensive positioning.
Ex-Tottenham defender Michael Dawson criticized Dragusin’s performance, labeling it “unacceptable” and pointing out the disorganization of Tottenham’s defensive line. He even remarked that Archie Gray, a teenager playing out of position, looked more composed than Dragusin.
On Sky Sports, Dawson commented:
“Take nothing away from Ndiaye – it’s brilliant play from Everton. But defensively, Spurs have been all over the place. This defending from Dragusin, I’m sorry, it’s unacceptable.
“Archie Gray has stepped in to get tight to him, it’s flicked around the corner, and the distance between Archie Gray and the defender… Dragusin’s got to come off. They’re playing a back-three. They’re all over the place. I can’t believe it, it’s mind-blowing.”
Ange Postecoglou also appeared frustrated with Dragusin, substituting him at halftime in favor of Richarlison.
Although Dragusin’s agent has previously voiced concerns about a lack of playing time at Tottenham while serving as a backup to Van de Ven, Dragusin has struggled to deliver the standout performances that his agent might have hoped for.
Sunday’s game served as a harsh reminder of his limitations at the highest level.
