Leon Balogun has hit back at Rangers fans for their harsh language towards Cyriel Dessers, following continued criticism of the striker at Ibrox.

I don’t condone that behavior. It’s the same player you expect to score or defend better. Criticism is fine, but the language used can be extremely disrespectful.”
He added, “Fans may say the performance was disrespectful, but if you look at the effort put in, you can’t claim disrespect. The player has given his all.
You can criticize his quality, but how you express that is important, and some things should be off-limits. It’s poor behavior.
Dessers is a great guy, and the way he’s handled his situation shows a lot of character. He’s got guts, honestly.”
Does Cyriel Dessers deserve more respect at Rangers?
