Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy watched as Leicester City triumphed 2-1 in North London, leaving Ange Postecoglou to face another defeat.
Tottenham fans expressed their frustration toward chairman Levy after the team suffered yet another home loss in the Premier League, this time to Leicester City.
Spurs dominated the first half and took a deserved lead at the break with Richarlison’s header. However, the game shifted early in the second half when Jamie Vardy scored a tap-in and Bilal El Khannouss added a curling strike, helping Leicester secure all three points despite their struggle near the relegation zone.
Boos echoed around the stadium as the final whistle blew, with Postecoglou’s side now sitting just eight points above relegation. Yet most of the discontent was directed at the directors’ box, where Levy sat. A banner reading “24 years, 16 managers, one trophy, time for change” was unfurled in the home section. Despite the growing unrest, Levy has made no indication that he plans to sell his stake in the club.
In his post-match comments, Postecoglou said, “Yeah, it hurts. It hurts a lot. The players gave everything again. We’ll review a lot of things, but in terms of effort, I can’t ask any more of this group. Things just didn’t go our way today. We created some good chances, but unfortunately, things didn’t fall for us—not because the players weren’t trying, and that’s the key. The players are giving everything they can, and that’s all we can ask for as a football club and for me as a manager. They’re trying their hardest, and that’s all anyone can ask.
“You can analyze the goals, but they were disappointing for us to concede. I thought we had enough opportunities in the game to win. When you’re in this situation, the players are trying as hard as they can, but sometimes that doesn’t lead to clarity in decision-making.
“All we can ask is that the players give everything, and from my perspective, I see a group that’s doing just that. I know things will improve. We’ll get players back—we were short today, but in the next couple of weeks, some key players will return, and I’m confident they’ll help this group. We haven’t hit our peak yet.
“We’ve been in this position for two months. The players put in a massive effort on Thursday to ensure our European progress, and they had to back it up today. But there were probably at least two or three players who weren’t at 100 percent.
“I’m a football manager, and I get judged on results. That’s the reality.”
