Ange Postecoglou acknowledged that his future is uncertain following a 2-1 defeat to Leicester that worsened Tottenham’s struggles and fueled chants from angry fans demanding the resignation of chairman Daniel Levy.

Tottenham, who are now eight points clear of the relegation zone after winning just one of their last 11 league matches, had taken the lead at halftime, but Leicester fought back with goals from Jamie Vardy and Bilal El Khannouss to move out of the drop zone.

The loss sparked a wave of frustration at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with anti-Levy chants echoing throughout. Postecoglou, however, tried to remain positive, pointing out that once injured players return, things could improve.

He also reminded fans that Spurs are performing well in European competitions, still in the FA Cup, and lead 1-0 on aggregate in their Carabao Cup semi-final against Liverpool. When asked about his job security, Postecoglou remained philosophical:

“Who knows?” the Australian said. “Being the manager of a football club can make you feel vulnerable and isolated. I don’t feel that way, though. I know the players are giving everything for the club, and I have a committed staff around me. My focus is on supporting the players.

When those coming back return, it will lift everyone. There’s a real chance to make an impact this season, and I believe we can. But as for the question about my future, there’s nothing I can say that will change anything tomorrow morning.”

Postecoglou continued: “I’ve always believed the players are fully committed to what we’re trying to do, and that’s crucial for me. I truly think this is the lowest point we’ve hit this season, and I still believe we can do something special in the final three months.”

With a depleted squad, Spurs were unable to fill their bench and Postecoglou emphasized the need for reinforcements before the transfer window closes. “Even one more player, just in the short term, could give us a better opportunity,” he said.

Leicester manager Ruud van Nistelrooy was pleased after his side snapped a seven-game losing streak with the victory, moving above Wolves to 17th place. “We were 1-0 down, but we were playing well,” he said. “I saw a team that wasn’t affected by the score. We came out in the second half and played extremely well.”
