“The more i think, i wouldn’t mind him at Spurs as Ange replacement”- Jamie O’Hara names his dream Ange Postecoglou replacement at Tottenham who Pep Guardiola said is ‘incredible’

Ange Postecoglou will be hoping that Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-1 home defeat to Leicester City doesn’t mark the tipping point for his future at the club.

For some Spurs fans, however, this may be the final straw, especially after Leicester, who had lost seven consecutive Premier League games, managed to take all three points from N17.

Among those calling for change is Jamie O’Hara, who believes Tottenham should part ways with Postecoglou after Leicester mounted a comeback from a goal down, thanks to quick strikes from Jamie Vardy and Bilal El Khannouss.

However, according to TBR Football, Daniel Levy has no intention of sacking Postecoglou just yet.

Spurs have now suffered 13 league defeats and are stuck in 15th place, having won just one and drawn another in their last 10 matches. While they are still eight points clear of the relegation zone, their recent form has raised concerns about their survival.

O’Hara has suggested that Andoni Iraola, the current manager of Bournemouth, should replace Postecoglou.

O’Hara told Sky Sports News: “The more I watch the Bournemouth manager, the more I think he could do a good job at Spurs. He needed time, just like Postecoglou, but he’s got Bournemouth organised, and you can see they’re improving.”

O’Hara is willing to give Postecoglou until the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final to turn things around, but if Spurs lose, O’Hara believes it might be time for a change.

He praised Iraola’s work at Bournemouth, noting that despite having numerous injuries, the team is performing well, having recently defeated Newcastle 4-1 and Nottingham Forest 5-0. “Tottenham are so disorganised right now,” O’Hara said. “Bournemouth, with all their injuries, are still getting results.”

TBR Football sources report that Bournemouth are offering Iraola a new contract, hoping to secure his long-term future at the club. Meanwhile, Tottenham have taken notice of Iraola’s impressive work at Bournemouth, as well as Thomas Frank’s achievements at Brentford.

Bournemouth currently sit in seventh place in the league, despite losing their star player Dominic Solanke to Spurs over the summer. Iraola’s team is thriving.

In November 2023, Pep Guardiola praised Iraola’s managerial skills, calling him an “incredible” and “well-respected” coach, noting his impressive work with Rayo Vallecano in Spain.

Guardiola also highlighted Iraola’s attacking style of play, stating that his teams are energetic and confident, which has helped them succeed even when faced with challenges.
